Lexi Rose Foundation- One small girls vision for a better tomorrow NF-1

Hi! My Name is Lexi Rose Kranz and I live in Millington, New Jersey. I am 8 years old and have a disease called Neurofibromatosis Type 1. NF-1 is a Progressive Genetic Neurological Disorder that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in the body, at any time. I have over 300 tumors in my body. I get new tumors throughout my body on a daily basis. You can go here and read more about it. We started the Lexi Rose Foundation to raise money for research and to help other families with similar problems. This is a non-profit organization, so all donations will be 100% tax deductible. We will be running other fund raising events throughout the year. We will keep everyone informed of the events. Please help me raise the awareness of my disease and help me raise funds for me and kids like me.

I am only little, but I have a big dream of helping other children like me to get help with this disease that I have. I want others to be able to read about NF-1 and know what I have so they will want to help me and other children like me. There is a girl that I know of that has helped so many people be aware of a disease that made her die. It made me sad and I liked her idea very much. You probably know of her. Her name is Alex. She made lemonade famous.

Alexandra "Alex" Scott was the 8 year old founder of Alex's Lemonade Stand For Pediatric Cancer Research. Two days before her first birthday she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. At the age of four, Alex decided to do something to make that cure more likely. She opened her first lemonade stand in July of 2000 with the idea of donating the proceeds to "her hospital." Each year since, Alex has held an annual lemonade stand in her front yard. As word has spread, donations have poured in from around the world, and she has raised over $2,500,000 for pediatric cancer.

I want to be able to help children like me and help children with the child cancer. I want to be just like Alex and take up her cause for my disease. I don't know how much money I can raise, but someday I hope it can be a big number like Alex helped raise. Alex loved lemonade and started her lemonade stand. I like bowling. I want to have bowling fundraisers to help me raise money. See my new one now and come join the FUN and help me raise money!
